December 9th, 2006.

Christmas is fast approaching, nearing the end of another great year for the Shooting Stars. The fall has brought out our new training ground, ASTROPLEX, with a brand new facility, beautiful new modern Turf surface, as well as many new members to the Shooting Stars Family. We have gotten off to a very fast pace this fall, getting a head start on our winter training. It might not seem like it, as we are having so much fun, but we actually got out of the gates quite early and this has proven to be a great benefit to all. Keep this pace up and many dreams and aspirations will be brought about one day. A true passion for the game of Soccer, blended with great training and you have the recipe for success. Much thanks to our Talented Team of Trainers, Francois, Clayton, Antonio, Junior and Gary. We are very lucky in our Family here at the Shooting Stars, to have a Team of Trainers that are really out to bring about the best in every single member. The personal talks with the groups and individuals, is what adds that real importance that they show, to every player. One of the most important things in the life of a young person is, "Self Worth". To feel special is a part of growing and learning our own value, so that the values of another person, can also be appreciated.

The important words mentioned to the players, by the trainers, words of encouragement, words from the heart, join hand in hand with the Technical Development, to bring about that true passion in us, that will take us toward our "non stopable" dreams. Remember, "when you are a child, the whole world is yours".

In the News, look for updates for the 2007 Tryouts for the under 14 Showcase team, which will be traveling to Nice, in the Southern part of France, for a magnificent experience, training and playing other French teams in exhibition games. Lately, from the Shooting Stars Family, our own Tate Newmarch remains in France on a 6 week tryout. What a tremendous opportunity for a very talented player. We look forward to hearing good news from Tate.

3 other Shooting Stars members, have recently been selected to the 2006 OYSL ALL STAR BOYS UNDER 17 TEAM, which will represent Ontario at the prestigious Disney Showcase in Orlando, Florida, in December and then on to the DALLAS Showcase in March. These members are, Chris Jurtovski, Taylor Lord and Kyle Wolford. Matthew Groves, presently on a US Scholarship for Soccer, has been back out training with us recently, while is he on a short break from College.

Matthew says that he has been having a great time there and is enjoying the experience. Shooting Stars has been going very well with our High Performance programme and is presently accepting applications for our on going training. Josh Hewit continues to bring out the best in our players, with quality training and he is very knowledgeable. We are very lucky to enjoy such great rates for our players so take advantage of this training as it is very beneficial to the continued progress of all players. See our website for further information.

We are now accepting applications of our next 10 sessions and we can now Register and Pay, online with your Credit card. This is a great Benefit for our members. Go to our web site and enjoy the quick and easy process. Registration indoor is always limited, due to the space that we have available. We were very lucky to get this great ASTROPLEX facility, as space there is very limited and there only so many that can train at any given time. So Register now on this web site and get an early start and secure your spot.

Finally, Congrats to the members of Shooting Stars, who make that extra effort, to come out and train, as you know that the roads to success are not easy, but hard work will get you there. The benefits of your dedication, is clearly seen in the improvements by all, as you are in that small percentage,  who strive to be the very best and are not just satisfied being "average". We, the Training Staff at Shooting Stars, are very proud of you all. You mean something to us and you are an important person in this world and our commitment to you is to always give you our best and to help you reach your dreams, whatever they may be, Scholarships or the Professional road.

Please approach us at any time and ask questions, as we want to help you. Finally, we leave you with a few lines for thought:

"The stadium seats and in the stands Are filled with shouts and screams, But the players who are on the Fields Are there from work and Dreams"

Happy Holidays - Shooting Stars Executive.
